Who I Am

My name is Katie Quinn and I have been a graphic designer professionally for 12 years. I am currently the sole graphic designer for Muhlenberg College. I graduated from Susquehanna University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design before I was hired at Penn State Berks, eventually leaving for Muhlenberg College in 2022. I have also gone on to complete my Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Visual Experience at Savannah College of Art and Design.

During my graduate career I developed a thesis on marketing to Generation Z and fell in love with the research and ideologies that come from generational attitudes. My research has continued as the pandemic occurred and the structure of the higher education landscape began to drastically change.

I have worn many hats over the years and developed skills in photography and fine arts such as painting and drawing. I am adept at branding and identity, as well as conceptual development, craft, speed, and various other design disciplines. I do have some experience with some Content Management Systems (CMS), web design, and Digital Asset Managers (DAM).

To me, design has the ability to transcend language and time. Designs of the past still resonate and communicate today just like the designs of today will in the future. It is a way to speak to others on more than one level, a way to connect.

Design is a labor of love.
